'Release the Kraken' sign

My bathroom wall was pretty blank, so I decided to add a driftwood sign to it. I'm kinda obsessed with cephalopods in general, so it's only natural to be fond of krakens and releasing krakens.

I used Tim Holtz distress paint to get the blue on there. Then I put bits of white paint around the edges of the "ripples." Next I painted over the water with gloss. I used a black pen and marker to draw on the text. Then I made a cardboard cutout and attached some holographic paper to it before gluing on the octopus. Afterward I glued the ship to the board and voila! One-of-a-kind sign for the Oval Office.
